This workshop is taught over 3 sessions. Mondays at 09.30am to 12.00
Using pastels and pastel pencils we will be creating wonderful portraits from photos over the course of 3 weeks. You can choose to use my reference or bring a photo of your own. Key skills will be drawing, observing form and describing surface texture. In addition we’ll look at how to emphasise key attributes, how to manage tone for description and drama, and what aspects of pet personality we can describe in art.
Materials are provided but please bring your pastels if you have some because it will help you to understand how to use the colours you already have.
We will be using fabulous U-Art sanded pastel paper.
Tea and coffee included.
Pastels are messy so wear something you don’t mind getting dusty.
